Many different actors are responsible for the European inland navigation policy. In addition to the individual Member States and the European Commission, especially the Central Commission for Navigation on the Rhine (ZKR) and the Danube Commission (DC) are strongly involved in shaping Europe’s institutional and political landscape for inland navigation.
